New EE

A few weeks ago, Will got a package in the mail from Aunt Jen. He was super excited to find out that it was a new EE. Jen gave him the original monkey when he was just a baby and we thought that a new one was needed because the old one is looking pretty bad. However, Will does not agree! He, of course, likes the new EE but there is nothing like the old one! It is just hard to believe what the old one used to look like. Yes, it used to have the banana too but not any more. So I guess now we just have two EEs.

Thank you so much Jen for getting the new monkey....if for nothing else but to remember the day when Will was little and he got the first one = )

Trying AGAIN

Sorry...I am not the best at this blogging thing. I really like to do it but there is either nothing to exciting going on in our lives or we are just so busy that I am too tired or to busy to post.

I started my fall fieldwork today so yesterday was our last day of summer. I thought I would do something fun with Will since we won't be able to spend all days together for a while. I had to work for an hour in the morning so Will went to daycare for a bit. I picked him up and asked him where he wanted to eat, which of course, he replied "chicken nuggets McDonald's!" So that is where we went. After, we went to Jumping Jax, which is a place with the bouncy houses and slides. It was so much fun! and the best part was Will and I were the only two in the whole place for the first hour we were there so we didn't have to share and we could run around all crazy. Will was scared of the slides at first so I went with him but by the end he was doing it all by himself like a big boy!

Another exciting thing going on in the Schnabel household is Will is starting to use the big potty. I decided this past weekend that I would let Will run around in his big boy underwear so he would recognize when he had to go to the bathroom. Of course, the first time he had an accident but he has been using the potty so that is a good thing!! I don't mind cleaning up a few accidents if it works. Tonight he used the potty twice and he stayed dry while we were out running errands! Yay!!
Just running around outside in the big boy underwear = ) (and yes mom, I will buy him bigger ones soon. He just really likes the Elmo ones!)

Sorry this is backing way up....but a few weeks ago Brian, Will and I went to the Royals game. We had great seats and a great time. Here are a few pictures to share.

Sooooo....I know I write this all the time but I am going to try to be better about posting. I will probably not post every day but hopefully a couple times a week.

Summer Continued

I'm back to upload more photos from our summer.

Omaha's Children Museum
Over my birthday weekend, Will and I took a trip up to Omaha to meet my mom. We spent a few hours at the museum and then went to eat at Spaghetti Works. Will had a great time at the museum and of course we loved seeing Grandma!!

Grandma Barb got Will these fun trucks, which he played with all night when we got back from Omaha.

Omaha Zoo
The following week, Brian, Will and I drove back to Omaha to meet Brian's parents. Brian sold his big truck to a friend and is purchasing his dad's smaller truck, which will help a ton financially. We met Earl and Linette for lunch and had a great visit. Since we were in Omaha, we decided to make a trip to the zoo. Again...it was a great time! Will loved seeing his grandparents and all the animals at the zoo.

Grandma and Grandpa gave Will money to buy something fun at the zoo. He picked out this truck with a trailer and jet skis. It was cute watching him in the store deciding just what to get. He is getting so big!!

Here's the new truck! Of course, Brian had to clean it as soon as we got home and of course, Will had to help = )

Royals Game and Tie Dyed Shirt
We went to a Royal's game with some friends and had a great time tailgating before hand. The story behind the tie dyed shirt: That week was "art week" at daycare and Will made the shirt. He was very proud of himself and loves this shirt. He wanted to wear it to the game and when we got home, he wouldn't take it off! So he ended up wearing it to bed as well. He also wanted to wear it again the next day but I put my foot down = ) It is pretty cute though!

Will playing in the fountains at the ball field with Tina and Mike.

Our little baseball player

Reading books with his friend Jai

Just being silly!

Tennis Matches!
Bayne and Brook were in KC playing in a tennis match and Will and I got to go watch them play. We also hung out at their hotel room the night before so Will could do a little swimming with the kids. Their cousin Dawson was also along. The three of them are getting so big! I used to babysit them when they were around the age 3 and 4...crazy to see them now! It was great to see them and Chad and Marcy! We definitely need to make sure we do it more often!!

Weekend Trip to Iowa
This past weekend Will and I took a trip to Iowa to see family. We spent time at the Lakes, which consisted of Arnold's Park, boating, swimming, shopping, Bob's hot dogs, and of course lots of playing with Ella and Claire. Will had a great time playing at grandma and papa's house too!!
Sidewalk chalk in downtown Spirit Lake

Ella, the little fish! She loves the water and is not at all afraid to jump right in.

Jami made a friend for life when she let Will drive the boat! He was so excited about doing this and honking the horn. He told Brian all about it that night on the phone = )

Arnold's Park fun

Just getting done swimming at the Spencer pool.

Okay....I think I am up to date except for the pictures from the Royal's game we went to last night, but I don't have those uploaded to the computer yet. So that will have to be another night. Sorry for the lengthy post. Hopefully I can stay with the blogging again so that I don't have to post all at once!
