Yesterday and overnight we got about 7.5 inches of snow...yuck! Will's sitter was sick today so he stayed home with me all day. I told him if he took a nap, we could go out to play. Of course, he did not take a nap but he did rest some so I bundled him up and out we went. It actually wasn't that cold and Will had so much fun!!
Will wasn't sure if he wanted to go down the slide or not
still trying to decide...
alright let's give it a go!
Absolutely loved it! and had to do it several more times = )
Snow angels
To get Will to come inside I told him we could have hot chocolate. I don't think he even knew what it was but he was pretty excited about it.
Stirring...
Don't forget the marshmallows
Yum!
I guess the snow wasn't so bad today = )

Sesame Street Live
I realize that some posts are still missing from the end of the year but I didn't want to get too far behind with my postings for this year...so here are some new ones for 2011!
Sesame Street Live was in town this past weekend...yay! I wanted to take Will last year but thought he was too young to get into it. He was at a perfect age this year and absolutely loved it!
He was so excited with all the characters came on stage.
Will was such a big boy and did so good throughout the show. I'm glad we could take him this year.

Visit to Iowa
Ella had a gymnastic event the second weekend in January so Will and I headed to Iowa for family time and to watch Ella. As always Will had so much fun playing with his cousins and loved seeing his grandma and aunts and uncles!
Since I am delayed in writing this post...I don't remember all of the details of the weekend so I am going off of the pictures!
One of the days, Will, grandma and I met great-aunt Donna did some shopping, had lunch and then went to see great-grandma Liston for her birthday.

Will playing with Claire's baby doll. It makes noises as she eats, burps and giggles...Will thought it was pretty neat.
While waiting for Ella to perform her routines...Will and Claire being silly!
Grandma with Clarie and Will
Miss Claire wanted to join in on the fun! She was "performing" on the mats before the girls came out. She is such a hoot!
Ella doing her routine. She did a great job!!
That's the end of pictures from that weekend...I am sure there was lots of playing, laughs, and fun!

Christmas
This year's Christmas was definitely different and difficult but we got through it. The Sunday before Christmas, we spent the day with the Marienau's at Grandma Neva's nursing home. Will had a great time playing with all the great grand-kids and loves his new Buzz Lightyear!! It was great that the whole family was there...well except for one...but it was fun to see the kids play and to catch up with everyone.

Grandma and all the grandkids!
Will and I stayed at Grandma's house until after Christmas. One night Santa was at the library so we picked up Uncle Trent and went to see him. Will was a little hesitant but did sit on Santa's lap. When asked what he wanted for Christmas, he just repeated what others were saying but at Grandma's he said he wanted toys! Will also got to make a little ornament with one of the little girls there.
After seeing Santa we made a spontaneous decision to go to the Yogi Bear movie.
Lots of snow in Iowa so Will of course had to go out to play and scoop it up.
A little lunch with cousins!
A couple days before Christmas the kids had their annual cookie baking and decorating fun with Grandma Barb!
Christmas Eve we went to eat at a restaurant. It was great food and the best part...no clean up! We all got to open presents together and the kids got great gifts. Will loved all of his presents!
Show girl Ella got a guitar and microphone!! She was putting on a show for us!
Christmas Eve night we headed to Jen's and in the morning opened presents with Grandpa and Grandma Schnabel.
Opening his new Toy Story blanket that Aunt Jen made for him. He sleeps with it every night...it is so soft and super warm!
Giant Hedgehog from Grandma and Grandpa! Will loves to sleep with this too and uses it as a pillow sometimes = )

We had to head back to Kansas because Brian had to work early on Sunday morning. Since we were wide awake, we decided to let Will open his gifts from us and Santa.
All in all it was a good Christmas. We definitely missed Papa Jeff but know he was looking over us!
Wow...sorry that was a super long post that took forever to get out because of all the pictures but I hope you enjoyed it!
