Mexico!

The second Saturday in December Brian and I and friends headed to Puerto Vallarta for fun in the sun! The Friday before we left, I met my parents in Omaha to hand over Will for the week. He was so excited to see Grandma and Papa. I, on the other hand, was so sad to be leaving him for a week. As we went our separate ways, I was tearing up and Will was so excited with the monster trucks Grandma had just given him!

Saturday Brian and I got up bright and early, met up with the Melvins and headed to the airport where we met up with the Lattas.

Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived so we grabbed a bite to eat and hung out at the resort bar while we waited.

Once the rooms were ready, we relaxed some in the room and then headed to the pool for some relaxation and more food and drinks! We played a game in the Melvins' room and then decided to call it an early night since we had gotten up so early that morning.

Elephant after Brian knocked it over =(

Sunday...more fun in the sun and relaxing at the pool. Then we headed to YoYo Mo's to eat wings, pizza and watch the football games. Unfortunately they didn't play the Chief's game but it was a fun place to hang out. We also had great laughs in the taxi ride to and from! Brian's favorite story is when we almost hit the lizard on the road!

Sunday night...the resort put on a Grease show, which I loved singing and dancing too = ) Brook and Katie headed off to bed, so the guys and I hit the night club and resort bar again. Of course we made lots of friends...many who were Canadian! It was a good time though.

Monday...more relaxing at the pool. We then headed back to our rooms to rest up and get ready for another big night.

At this point, I was watching the news (only channel in English) and saw that the Midwest had gotten a lot of snow so I decided to call home and check in with everyone. I was completely shocked that my sister answered the phone and even more shocked at the news she had to tell me...
